A project to house workers and centralize activities
In a context of labor shortages, the Gaboury Development Corporation is taking the lead. A new building is being acquired to provide both modernized offices for its team and housing for workers from outside .
Present in eastern Témiscamingue for 31 years now, the Corporation is not immune to recruitment challenges. To meet the growing demand for forestry work, it often has to call on workers from outside the region. Providing a roof over these employees becomes a logistical necessity... but also a welcoming gesture.
Offices downstairs, bedrooms upstairs
The new building will provide comfortable rooms upstairs for seasonal workers, while administrative offices will occupy the ground floor . This configuration will not only centralize the organization's activities, but also create a stable and welcoming living space for those who come to lend a hand in the field.
This project aims to alleviate the pressure of temporary housing , a well-known issue in many rural areas. By facilitating employee accommodation, the Corporation also improves its ability to recruit... and retain resources.
A new anchor in the municipality
The former offices of the Corporation, located near the church of Latulipe, will thus be moved opposite the former municipal cash desk , a symbolic place of centrality and renewal.
More than just a move, this project reflects the organization's desire to continue to grow, adapt and better serve its territory , while placing workers at the heart of its priorities.
We are being talked about here.
