The Gaboury Development Corporation is continuing its mission to revitalize the region by launching a new outdoor tourist accommodation initiative. Since the summer, a comfortable yurt has been welcoming visitors seeking peace and quiet, natural beauty, and a different experience from traditional camping.
A vision focused on sustainable tourism
True to its regional development mission, the non-profit organization is focusing on ready-to-camp solutions to enhance the landscapes of Témiscamingue in a different way. The installation of this first yurt is part of a series of recreational tourism projects led by the Corporation in the eastern part of the region.
Located in Moffet, on the edge of the majestic Lac des Quinze, this yurt with mezzanine offers a friendly alternative to classic camping: a solid roof, cozy comfort and total immersion in nature.
Glamping: simplicity, comfort and escape
Far from the crowds and close to the essentials, glamping combines the authenticity of camping with well-equipped accommodations. In this yurt, visitors will find comfortable bedding, a wood-burning stove for cool evenings, a basic kitchen, and everything needed to cook and relax outdoors.
